Emily Moore was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of five children she discovered her passion for theater, dance, music and fashion at a young age. At eight years old she joined the drama class offered at her elementary school and studied ballet, Jazz, & modern dance. She also discovered that she liked to sew on her mother's sewing machine. She created her own fashions designs and costumes for neighborhood talent shows as well as her Mom's dance company Kaleidoscope. During high school she participated in the Totino-Grace's award winning Dance team and show choir. Emily graduated with a BA in Theater with an emphasis in Music from the College of St. Benedict/St. Johns University. Her college costume classes reinforced her love of sewing and creating fashions. She also discovered she had a knack with make-up. Part-time jobs with cosmetic companies enhanced her skills with make-up. Since college graduation she has performed locally in the Minneapolis theater scene such as-- The Narrator in JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT (Youth Performance Co.), Zaneeta in THE MUSIC MAN (Riverside Theater), GIANNI SENT ME, and a Soloist/dancer in VIXEN'S A SEXY BAD GIRL REVUE (The Loring Playhouse).
In 2000 Emily moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her acting career in film and television. With her talent she was cast to work in films such as THE SISTERS CLUB, BEYOND LEMURIA, & AS LONG AS IT TAKES. Some of her television credits include THE HOT SHOW & JAG. During her time in Los Angeles Emily rediscovered her eye for style and talent to find the best fashion deals in town. She started her own business of jewelry design (JEWELRY BY EMILY) where she used tricks to create high-end fashion looks on a very small budget. Using clothes from the many thrift stores in the Los Angeles area, Emily created many upscale looks at a very low cost. Many friends asked for her advice on how to reinvent their wardrobe on a tight budget. This gave Emily the confidence to offer her fashion and make-up skills to everyone who sought her talent. In 2004, Emily landed the role of Bernice Lundstrom in the national musical DON'T HUG ME, produced and written by Phil and Paul Olson (Olson Brothers Entertainment). She, along with the original cast members perform in DON't HUG ME, as well as the sequels A DON'T HUG ME CHRISTMAS CAROL and A DON'T HUG ME COUNTY FAIR. Emily has toured with these productions across America including locations such as Los Angeles California, Hot Springs Arkansas, & various cities around Minnesota. She will reprise the role of Bernice in the fourth sequel DON'T HUG ME I'M PREGNANT due spring of 2011.
In 2007, Emily signed a long term talent contract for the largest Film studio in Southeast Asia, and moved to Cebu, Phillipines to live on their studio lot. Other notable talent that have worked for Bigfoot Entertainment include Lucy Liu, Stockard Channing, Chloe Seviny, Sandra Oh (3 NEEDLES), Hayden Panettiere, Ken Lueng (SHANGHAI KISS) Tad Hilgenbrink (THE CURIOSITY OF CHANCE). During her time with Bigfoot, Emily produced and created two upcoming international television shows, SCREENTEST and BIGFOOT TV. She hosted both TV shows and was able to put her make-up and styling/wardrobe skillls to use. Emily was also the lead editor on the entertainment news show BIGFOOT TV. Emily is also featured as one of the celebrity make-up/stylists on the Network Fashion TV (FTV). She traveled around Asia and worked with many international models such as Laury Prudent, Nikoo, Nellyel, Patrycja Poplonska, Joicel Delgado, Christina Macfarlane, & Rebecca Piket.
Emily returned to Minneapolis, Mn and split her time between acting (theater, commercials, film & television), Styling (make-up, design, & wardrobe) and Casting (Film, commercials, & Print). Upon returning from Asia she guest-hosted for Shop NBC, booked in 7 national commercials (Best Buy, Target, Miller Lite, Pete and Shortey's, Maxwell House Coffee, Chex Mix, & Jim Beam), recurring print work for Lavender Magazine, and tours regionally with the original MN DON'T HUG ME cast. She was featured in the music video WOOD JEUX MERRY MI for Matt Dodge & The Lobsters. The Summer of 2011 she not only acted but also line produced a MN Christian based film for Aequitas Entertainment while 9 months pregnant. Two weeks after delivering her first baby she starred in the feature film Undone: A New Musical. It received much praise from the film community and won Best "MN made Film" in the 2012 Out Twin Cities Film Festival. She also worked on the independent feature film Stay Then Go that will be released the fall of 2013.
Emily also helped with casting in the Twin Cities freelancing with various companies such as A & E Casting, Activision, and Aequitas Entertainment. She loves the casting process, encouraging other actors to trust in themselves during the audition process. She tries to make them feel as comfortable as they can using their talents and assets they have at their fullest.
Today Emily also works in Raleigh, NC as a commercial actor represented by talent agency Talent One. She has commercials running in both the Carolina's for Arthur State Bank, Guilford County PSA, and North Carolina Construction, Body Lase, & Swift Brothers
